Timber Connector

The transverse grooves dowel (diameter: 8 x 30 mm) has been specially developed for the furniture industry (e.g. for building drawers). As part of fully automatic processing this connector has the advantage that is does not adhere to dust (as opposed to beech dowels), which is a common issue that may cause interferences with machines’ optical sensors. Therefore, a reliable process flow is guaranteed. Another great advantage of the transverse grooves dowel is the fact that it retains its shape and size. Its handling is exceptionally easy. All one needs to do is drill, pour in glue, drive in the transverse grooved dowel and ultimately assemble the wooden parts. The transverse grooves allow excess glue to swell and thus prevent a possible rupture of the support plate.
